Junior/Senior First Day of School.

Its August 18,2011 and this is the last First Day of School Picture for Chase. He is a Senior this year and Shelby is a Junior. Again, I know I should be sad, but I think its awesome. They have so much life to live and so much to look forward to. I want them to got out a live life and travel and be happy. They are ony 18 months apart and no matter what she says, I know Shelby will miss having her big brother in school with her next year.

Happy Sweet 16

Well its official, today my baby girl turned 16. The pin to the left was worn by Brandon when he turned 16, then a year later Chase wore it for his 16th, and now the last child, grandchild, and daughter wears the Sweet 16 pin and then it will be retired. This day does not make me sad it actually makes me very happy as I can see what an awesome woman my daughter is turning into. She will be driving in two months, has had her first boyfriend for almost 6 months now, is going to be starting her Junior year in high school. She has plans on becoming a nurse and has her head on very straight for a 16 year old! I love you Shelby and I could not be more proud of you. I hope you have a fabulous day :)

1/2 Year Resolution!

It has been 4 months since I have blogged! What it wrong with me, am I that boring, am I that busy, am I that lazy???? Well this is my 1/2 year resolution, I promise to blog at least once a week if not more! There is is now official cause its in writing.

What could have been......

So I recently decided I want letters after my name. To get these letters I think I should have gone to college. I choose Harvard (picture at left) as my college of choice. I would have an ivy league education and could have gotten my Ph.d, M.D. , RN, LCSW, any number of letters could have been mine. Small problem, the only college I attended was ICC. Close to Harvard but not close enough for the letters I wanted. Oh to be young again and realize then what I realize now. I would have gotten up and gone to class had I known I would be sitting at a desk typing reminder letters to clients not to miss their next court date! Oh the injustices of the world, that I was not born to be a great leader to be reveared by all and have letters after my name. So as I sit here at my desk at age 46 1/2 I will have to live with the fact that the only letters after my name will be "WTF" or "RSVP" ..........

Ahhh Boyfriends!

This is Lucas. This is Shelby's "bf" boyfriend, honey pants, sweetie pie........ Just kiddin Shelby!! Seriously though this is my baby's first boyfriend and I could not be happier for her. He is a very nice guy who is very respectful of her, very attentive to her and they have a lot in common. They both are very smart, very athletic, seem to really enjoy each other's company and keep things very low-keyed. There is nothing I hate more than PDA, especially by teenagers. They have a very quiet attentive attitude towards each other and this is a great experience for her.

Enjoy this Shelby, dont take yourself or him too seriously, just have fun. I still remember my first boyfriend, John Hoerr, and still have the id braclet you gave me in 6th grade..........

Happy 17

Today is kind of a hard day for me. This picture is of Chase on his 1st birthday. Today at 10:00 a.m. he turned 17. No nearly as much fun as 1!

Its hard because he is such a hard place in his life and he cannot seem to get himself out. He is stuck between being a boy and wanting to be a man. I watch all the mistakes he continues to make and I cannot seem to help him. He makes such bad choices in the things he does, the people he hangs around with and the fact that he would rather sit on the outside alone instead of being on the inside with those who love him most. It breaks my heart that he would rather stay home than be with his family. The people he hangs with are not his friends and he found that out as soon as he did not have a car anymore. He thinks whats important is how many "friends" you have on facebook or how many texts you get. I need him to under that what is most important is right in front of him.

Swim Suit Edition #1

So as I begin to think about Summer coming, I felt I needed to run through some of the all time great swimsuits that have been worn over the years. The first one with the cover up is from tour 1996 "my first swimsuit collection". I know its hard to see, but there was gold trim at the top with an anchor patch which is just stunning! And what swimsuit model would not have a beautiful terry cloth cover up to keep her skin from getting sunburned.

The Pink one is also from our 1996 "boating" collection. No one owns just one suit for the summer months! This model is for boating as you can see from our stunning beauty on the back of this yacht. Nothing says fashion like a sailor ducky and a white ruffle at the waist.
